Enterprise WiFi across 33 flats with secure tenant access

Care Real Estate is an established residential property provider with more than 30 years in the sector and over 5,000 tenants housed. When the business acquired a large Surrey building with 33 flats, it needed a reliable WiFi setup that could serve the whole property and support paid tenant access.

The new building needed a high-speed fibre connection capable of delivering stable WiFi throughout all 33 flats.

Care Real Estate also wanted to offer tenants different paid WiFi packages through a secure captive portal. That meant the network had to work with its existing payment system and meet PCI compliance requirements.

Bellcom arranged an on-site survey to understand the building, coverage requirements and how Care Real Estate wanted the tenant service to work.

Following the survey, we recommended a Gigabit fibre line and 16 WiFi 6 access points to provide strong coverage across the building.

The setup also included a secure, customisable captive portal for tenant access, with subscription options and integration into Care Real Estate’s existing payment system.

The enterprise WiFi installation was completed within the agreed budget and timeline. Care Real Estate reported a clear improvement in WiFi strength and stability throughout the building. Tenants and visitors can now access a reliable service through a branded landing page, while the business can offer different access packages depending on user needs.

The managed setup also means Bellcom handles the ongoing maintenance, management and support behind the scenes.

For Care Real Estate, the project needed more than a broadband line and a few access points. Bellcom surveyed the property, planned coverage across all 33 flats and built the WiFi service around the way Care Real Estate wanted tenants to access and pay for it.
